We'd be willing to bet that toothpicks were one of mankind's first implements -- for as long as we've been getting bits of stuff caught in our teeth, we've been digging them out with small pokey sticks. Something else we'd put our money on? These toothpicks from Daneson are the most satisfying way to get the job done.
Bourbon Nº 22’s are steeped with six-year-old barrel aged Kentucky straight bourbon. To say the least, they use the good stuff. Bear in mind no artificial ingredients are used in making Nº 22’s.
The Bourbon Nº22 is a SELECT batch premium blend and as a result it has a higher price. This is because they are made with very good, very expensive Kentucky Straight Bourbon and like the Single Malts they are a pain in the arse to make. This time consuming process is unique to Daneson, and the resulting toothpicks are for those who enjoy finer things in life.
Punchier than the Single Malt Nº 16’s, Bourbon toothpicks are best appreciated by aficionados with a southern state of mind who understand the subtle nuances in fine Kentucky whiskey. Notwithstanding heat and spice you would expect from bourbon, look for notes of smokey oak, vanilla, tobacco, and fruit.
Like all Daneson toothpicks, Bourbon Nº 22’s are subtle at first and build complexity when warmed in the mouth.
Made with Kentucky straight bourbon.
Daneson founder Peter Smith puts it best: "A toothpick is more than just a toothpick. With the right recipe a Daneson can bring back memories, relax the mind, complete a meal or distinguish a character."
They come packaged in an amber glass vial to preserve flavors and integrity of the oils, topped by a cork stopper to seal in the goodness. Each bottle has a minimum of 12 toothpicks but you might get a bonus one or two as well.
